Jansenville Jansenville, in the heart of the Noorsveld, is the heart of South Africa's mohair production. You will find numerous mohair products for sale. Our rural shops often surprise visitors with items that they have been looking for. There is also an interesting farm stall with curios and the best biltong. This small and friendly little town is also an ideal stopover on a journey between the East Cape coast and the hinterland. Here there is plenty of accommodation for individuals, couples, families and groups of up to 23 people. Oak Villa. This is a gracious old house now tastefully converted into a comfortable and spacious guest house with a bar, restaurant and coffee shop.
There are four bedrooms, three doubles and one twin. Three of the rooms are en-suite while the fourth has a separate but dedicated bathroom. One room is air conditioned. For relaxing and socialising, there is a guest lounge with a fireplace for a warm and cosy atmosphere on winter evenings. For guests staying in Oak Villa there is a private breakfast room.
Guests staying at Oak Villa are welcome to make use of the swimming pool at The Cottage. There is also ample safe off-street parking. Restaurant, Bar and Coffee Shop For the use of guests as well as any travellers needing a meal, a snack or simply a cup of coffee this is the ideal place. The à la carte menu features typical Karoo dishes to fill you up with good, honest food.
Location of Oak Villa At the stop street in the middle of town, turn west (left coming from Port Elizabeth, right coming from inland) and you will find us a few houses down on the left. The Cottage The Cottage provides B&B and self catering accommodation next to historic Sid Fourie House, a beautifully restored home which currently serves as a museum. Coupled to an overnight stay at the Cottage, the museum offers travellers an interesting break in their journey and an insight into the history of the little-known Noorsveld.
There are altogether three cottages available, sleeping up to 15 people. Various sleeping configurations are possible so we can accommodate from the smallest to the largest family groups. Each cottage has its own entrance, lounge, dining room/kitchenette and TV. Guests are welcome to stay on either a B&B or a self catering basis. All our rooms are equipped with kettles, fridges, microwaves as well as other self catering necessities. The restaurant and coffee shop at Oak Villa will welcome those who would prefer a prepared meal. Our swimming pool and braai facilities are also available for the use of guests. Your pets are welcome too.

"Die Koperketel" gallery/shop is at 26 Main Street. All lovers of art and crafts can pay a visit to buy or browse over a cup of coffee. Although still a young shop the intention is to host articles and works of art by local artists and crafters. Contact Neels and Louise van Tonder at 049 836 0525.
